Notifications

Collaborating on Padlet is easy, and notifications make collaborating even easier. We will send you push and email notifications about the most important activities in your account. You can also manage the notifications you receive and on what channels.

How notifications work

By default, you will receive notifications for the most important activities in your account, including when new posts are added to your padlets and when someone comments on your posts. You can manage notifications for all activities in your account from your notifications page.

We support push and email notifications. You can also access the activity panel of a board to catch up on any activity you have missed.

We will not send you notifications about a padlet if you are currently viewing that padlet.

Accessing the notifications page

To open your notifications page, head to your dashboard, click your account name in the upper-left corner > Settings > Notifications.

On mobile, click the three-dot ellipsis button (...) - More in the bottom-right corner > Settings > Notifications.

Manage notifications

The Notifications page breaks down events into three categories: General, Padlets, and Accounts.

For some activities, you can receive notifications regardless of your role on the padlet. For other activities, you can only receive notifications if you are an administrator or editor of a padlet. When you create a padlet, you are the administrator of it. You can also invite others to administer and edit your padlets.

On desktop, manage your notifications by ticking the checkboxes on the right. Changes save automatically.

On mobile, click the channel on the right to select which channels to receive notifications in. These changes will also save automatically.

FAQs

Why am I not receiving push notifications?
If you are currently viewing a padlet, you will not receive push notifications for it. Instead, you can access the activity panel to see the board's recent activity. If you have disabled push notifications through your device settings, you will need to enable them to receive push notifications. Here is more information about enabling push notifications on your iPhone or iPad, your Android device and through your Chrome browser.
Why am I not receiving email notifications?
If you are currently viewing a padlet, you will not receive email notifications for it. Also, if you receive more than 3 email notifications for a specific event type within 24 hours, we will silence email notifications for that event until you open the padlet again.
How can I unsubscribe from a certain notification?
You can head to your notifications page and untick the checkbox next to the activity you no longer want to be informed about. Changes will save automatically. If you receive an email notification, you can also click the link in the footer to unsubscribe from that notification type.
Can I disable all notifications?
Yes. Head to your notifications page and untick all of the checkboxes. Changes will save automatically. If you don't want to receive notifications, you can always access the activity panel of your board to see all of its recent activity.

If you experience any problems with notifications, please contact us.
