Update Apple billing information

Please follow the steps below to update your Apple billing information through your mobile device or computer.

Update through your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If you are using iOS 10.3 or later:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap on your name.
  3. Tap Payment & Shipping. You may need to enter your Apple ID password.
  4. Click on your current payment method.
  5. At the bottom, click on your current billing address. Enter your new billing information.
  6. Tap Done.

If you are using iOS 10.2 or earlier:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap iTunes & App Store.
  3. Tap your Apple ID.
  4. Tap View Apple ID. You may need to sign in.
  5. Tap Payment Information.
  6. Enter your new billing information.
  7. Tap Done.

Computer:

  1. Download or open iTunes.
  2. If you're not signed in, you will need to sign in with your Apple ID. To sign in, select Account from the menu bar at the top of your screen or at the top of the iTunes window, then Sign In. You'll be asked to enter your Apple ID and password.
  3. Select Account from the menu bar at the top of your screen or at the top of the iTunes window, then View My Account. You may be asked to sign in.
  4. Select Edit to the right of 'Payment Type' on the Account Information page. You can see which payment methods the iTunes Store accepts under 'Payment Type.' If you're using Family Sharing, only the family organizer can update the payment information.
  5. Enter your new billing information.
  6. Select Done.

After you change your payment information, Apple will place a temporary authorization hold on your credit card to verify your updated account information. If you have any issues updating your payment method, please visit Apple’s support site for further assistance.
