Post audio on a padlet
Padlet allows you to post audio from your device, Audio Booth or the internet. Here's how:
Create a new post
- Any audio posted to a board must be added through a post.
- Begin by setting up a new post on your board by clicking the (+) button in the bottom-right corner, double-clicking anywhere on the board or tapping 'C' on your keyboard.
Upload audio from your device
Boards
- To post audio that is stored on your device, click the File Upload icon on the left side of the post composer.

- Clicking this icon will open a new window where you can select the desired file from your device.
- You can also drag and drop a file from your desktop onto the post composer.
- Once the file loads, click Publish to complete the post.
Sandbox
- To post audio that is stored on your device, click the File Upload icon on the right side of your screen.

- Clicking this icon will open a new window where you can select the desired file from your device.
- You can also drag and drop a file from your computer into your Sandbox.
- The file will automatically post to your Sandbox after a few moments.
Upload audio using Audio Booth
Boards
- To post audio using Audio Booth, click the more attachments button in the post composer followed by Audio recorder.

- This will open Audio Booth. You may have to allow permission for your browser to access your microphone.
- Record your audio and click Playback and save (or Discard and restart, if you'd like to start over).
- Once you're happy with your audio, click Save.
- Remember to click Publish to complete the post.
Sandbox
- To post audio from Audio Booth, click the more attachments button in the tool menu.
- This will open a new window with lots of options for attachment uploads. Click the Audio Recorder button.

- This will open Audio Booth. You may have to allow permission for your browser to access your microphone.
- Record your audio and click Playback and save (or Discard and restart, if you'd like to start over).
- Once you're happy with your audio, click Save.
- Remember to click Publish to complete the post.

Boards
- To search and add audio from the internet, begin by clicking the more attachments button in the post composer window.
- Next, click on Spotify and search for the audio you'd like to add.

- Publish your post!
You can also use the Web search button to search other areas of the internet for audio.
Sandbox
- To search and add audio from the internet, begin by clicking the more attachments button in the tool menu on the right.
- Next, click Spotify and search for the audio you'd like to add.

Accessibility
Access auto-captions
If you upload audio to your padlet, we will add captions automatically. To enable auto-captions, play your audio and click the cog icon (⚙️) > Captions > select your Language.

Why can't I record audio on my phone?
Mobile browsers may not support audio recording. Download the Padlet app to use these features on your phone.
