Padlet Intelligence - Your personal AI assistant

PI is scheduled for beta release on Friday, March 13.

Padlet Intelligence (PI) is an AI chat assistant built into your padlet boards. Ask it to help you set up your board, analyze student responses, add content, and more.

PI is currently in beta. We're actively developing it and would love your feedback.

Who can access?

PI is currently available to Teachers, Admins, and Owners in Padlet for Schools or Classroom accounts with beta features enabled.

Admins and Owners can enable or disable PI for beta users in their school account by going to Settings → Permissions → Teachers and toggling Generative AI on or off. If this is turned off, teachers in your account won't see the PI icon.

How to access

Open a padlet and click on the PI button next the the Post button. The Padlet Intelligence panel will open so you can get started!

Which boards will I see PI on?

PI appears on any padlet board you have access to, whether you own it or it's been shared with you. It follows your existing sharing permissions: if you can read a board, PI can read it. If you can write, PI can write along with you.

PI is not currently available on sandboxes.

Like all current LLM models, PI can make mistakes. Please double check all content it provides.

Can my students see or use PI?

No. PI is only available to Teachers, Admins, and Owners with beta features enabled. Students visiting or contributing to a board will not see the PI icon.

Privacy and security

PI is powered by a third-party AI service. The only information we send to it is: the contents of your board, what you type into the chat, and your preferred language setting.

Like all AI tools, PI can make mistakes. Please review any content it generates before sharing it with students.

FAQs

Why don't I see the PI icon?
There are a few possible reasons.
- Beta features are not enabled on your account. Go to Account Settings → Basic info and toggle on Beta features.
- Your admin has disabled AI features for your school account. You'll need to ask them to enable the AI sidebar under Permissions.
- You're on a sandbox. PI is not available on sandboxes yet.
Can PI see everything on my board?
PI can see whatever you can see, based on your permissions. It reads the board contents to help answer your questions and carry out requests. It does not access anything outside the board you currently have open.
Will PI post or change things without me asking?
No. PI only takes action when you explicitly ask it to. It won't modify your board, add posts, or change settings on its own.
What if PI does something I didn't want. Can I undo it?
Some actions can be undone. If PI deletes a post or section, you can ask it to restore it shortly after — or use the standard undo function on your board. However, some actions are permanent and cannot be undone, including deleting comments and deleting custom fields. When in doubt, ask PI to confirm before it makes a change.
What can't PI do yet?
PI is in beta and we're still expanding what it can do. If it can't fulfill a request, it will let you know. We'd love to hear what you wish it could do. Share your feedback here.
