Padlet keeps asking me to verify my device

Why this happens

Padlet uses cookies to remember that you've already verified your device. If your browser is blocking or clearing cookies, Padlet can't remember you, so it asks you to verify again.

The fix is simple! Allow your browser to save cookies from Padlet. Once you do, you should only need to verify once per device and browser.

How to allow cookies from Padlet

Find your device and browser below and follow the steps.

Device / Browser

Instructions

Chrome

1. Click the three-dot ellipsis button (...) in the top-right corner and select Settings.

2. Go to Privacy and security, then click Third-party cookies.

3. Scroll down to the 'Customized behaviors' section and click Add next to 'Sites allowed to use third-party cookies.'

4. Type [*.]padlet.com (including the brackets) and click Add.

Safari (Mac)

1. Click the Safari menu at the top of your screen and select Settings.

2. Click the Privacy tab.

3. Make sure Block all cookies is unchecked.

4. If your school uses an LMS (like Canvas or Blackboard), also uncheck Prevent cross-site tracking.

Firefox

1. Click the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner and select Settings.

2. Go to Privacy & Security.

3. Scroll down to 'Cookies and Site Data' and click Manage Exceptions.

4. Type https://padlet.com in the address field, click Allow, then click Save Changes.

Microsoft Edge

1. Click the three-dot ellipsis button (...) in the top-right corner and go to Settings.

2. Click Cookies and site permissions.

3. Click Manage and delete cookies and site data.

4. Under 'Allow,' click Add.

5. Type [*.padlet.com] (including the brackets), and click Add to save.

iPhone / iPad

1. Open the Settings app.

2. Scroll down and tap Apps.

3. Tap Safari

4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Advanced.

5. Toggle Block All Cookies to off.

Android

1. Open Chrome

2. Tap the three-dot ellipsis button (...) in the top-right corner.

3. Tap Settings

4. Tap Privacy and security.

5. Tap Third-party cookies.

6. Tap Add site exception.

7. Type [*.]padlet.com (including the brackets), and tap Add.

After you've updated your settings

Log into Padlet and verify your device one more time. After that, Padlet should remember your device and stop requesting a code.
