Change user roles in bulk
If you need to change the role assigned to multiple members of your account and want to save some time - do it in bulk! Just follow the steps below.
- Navigate to your Analytics page. To do this, click on your account name in the top-right corner of your dashboard followed by Settings.
- In the panel on the left, click Analytics. From the Analytics dashboard you can find your user summary report in the Users tab.
- Select Users at the top and then click on the three-dot ellipsis button (...) by hovering your mouse over the list of users.
- Click Download results. This will export a list of all users within the account.
- Open your document and separate the list by role type. Place all of your Teachers' email addresses on one sheet and your Students' emails on another.
- Go back to your main dashboard and click on your account name followed by Manage people.
- Click Bulk Select Users. Copy and paste the email addresses you'd like to do a bulk change of user roles on and then click Review.
- Click Change roles. Once you verify you have the correct users, click Continue.
- Click the dropdown menu to select the role you'd like to change these users to and then click Change Roles.
FAQs
Why don't I see the Analytics page listed in my Settings?
The Analytics page is only available to the Owner or users selected as Admins for the account. If you need to change a user role, you will need to contact the Owner or someone with Admin privileges.
