Arcade leaderboard
Updated 21 hours ago by Rana WildsEvery Arcade game comes with a built-in leaderboard that tracks how players perform. The leaderboard updates automatically as players complete the game, and you can download it as a spreadsheet for grading.
What the Leaderboard shows
The leaderboard displays a ranked list of players with the following information for each entry:
- Name: The display name the player entered before playing
- Score: Number of correct items (e.g., 4/4)
- Time: How long it took to complete the game (e.g., 00:09)
- Attempts: How many times the player has played the game
Top-ranked players are highlighted with crown icons. Players are ranked by score first, then by speed as a tiebreaker. If two players both score 10/10, the faster one ranks higher.

Viewing the Leaderboard
Players can see the leaderboard after completing a game, showing where they rank among everyone who has played. As the creator, you can open it at any time by clicking the trophy icon in the top bar of your game.
Leaderboard settings
To change how the leaderboard works, click the Settings cog icon at the top of the leaderboard, or click Edit and open the Settings tab.
- Leaderboard visibility: Choose All players (default) so everyone who plays can see the full leaderboard and where they rank, or Only me so only you can see it. With Only me, players still see their own score after completing the game, but not how they compare to others.
- Attempts per player: Choose 1, 2, 3, or Unlimited (default). This is the number of attempts a player gets before they can't play the game again.
- Number of scores shown: Show the Top 3, Top 5, or Top 10 scores, or All (default). Handy when you want to celebrate the top performers without listing the whole class.

Exporting results to CSV
You can download a game's leaderboard as a CSV file, ready for grading or for your gradebook.
- Open a game you created and click the trophy icon to open its leaderboard.
- Click the Download CSV button, the download icon next to the settings cog.
- Your CSV downloads right away, with one row per attempt.
The file includes:
- A column for every question, with the correct answer in the header
- Each player's answer to every question
- The score, percentage, time, attempt number, and completion date for every play
- An average row at the bottom, so you can read the whole class at a glance
Each game type exports in the way that makes sense for it. Flashcards show "Got it" or "Missed" for each card, Sequencing shows the order each card was placed in, and time-based games like Memory Tiles focus on completion time. In Short Answer games, answers that players spoke out loud appear as text.
Beyond the leaderboard
The leaderboard shows rankings only. For a question-level breakdown of what players got right and wrong, a per-player performance view, and suggested next steps, open your game's Insights panel instead. Learn more in Game Insights in Arcade.
