Why am I being asked to pay again?

Sometimes users will receive a message informing them that their credit card is going to expire soon. They sometimes think that means they need to pay again, when in fact, the payment already went through. The message telling them their card has expired is simply a warning that they should update their card by the point their next payment is due (which could be in a year's time).
