This means that newly created padlets will default to your chosen privacy setting. \u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cdiv class=\"note-callout\">Users will still be able to adjust the privacy of their padlets depending on the privacy options you&#39;ve made available to them, but new padlets will default to this setting.\u003C\u002Fdiv>\u003Cp>In addition to setting the default privacy setting for new padlets, you can set the default \u003Cem>&#39;Visitor permissions&#39;\u003C\u002Fem> for new padlets. The options are \u003Cstrong>Reader\u003C\u002Fstrong> and \u003Cstrong>Writer\u003C\u002Fstrong>.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Reader\u003C\u002Fstrong> means that new padlets will default to read-only. If they are sharing the padlet URLs with unlicensed members, they can only use the settings \u003Cstrong>Secret\u003C\u002Fstrong> or \u003Cstrong>Secret\u003C\u002Fstrong> - \u003Cstrong>Password\u003C\u002Fstrong>. If they are embedding padlets, they will need to use the privacy setting \u003Cstrong>Secret\u003C\u002Fstrong>.\u003Cbr\u002F>\u003Cbr\u002F>\u003Cstrong>Will you be giving accounts to your students?\u003C\u002Fstrong> If no, they will not be able to access padlets set to \u003Cstrong>Org only\u003C\u002Fstrong> and their posts will be anonymous.
