How do I use the Table format on my board?

The Table format turns your board into something like a spreadsheet. Every post is a row, and every field is a column. It's perfect for sign-ups, trackers, structured collections. Anything where you want everyone filling in the same information.

The key to making it work: columns come from your post fields. Every table starts with three built-in columns: Subject, Body, and Attachment and every other column is a custom field you create yourself. If a column you expected isn't accepting input, it almost always means the field hasn't been created yet.

Choose the Table format

Select Table when creating your board, or switch an existing board to it in your board's format settings.

Add your columns

1. Open your board and click the Settings cog at the top.
2. Choose Posts, then Post fields.
3. Click Add custom field.
4. Give it a name. Whatever you type here becomes the column heading.
5. Pick a field type: Text, Date, Number, Single select, Email, Phone number, URL, and more.

When you make a new post, you can also click the 'fields' text at the bottom of the composer to access the same Post Fields settings

Repeat for each column you want. Back on the board, every field appears as its own column — and when anyone adds a post, they'll see a separate box for each field, so a whole row gets filled in one go.

Rename or edit a column

1. Back in the Settings cog > Posts > Post fields or
2. On the board, find the three-dot menu (...) next to the field.

1. Choose Edit field update the name, and save. The column heading updates right away.
