Padlet Belts
Padlet Belts are a new way to gauge your Padlet expertise. As you create, collaborate, and learn on Padlet, you earn points that place you into one of five levels, from Yellow Belt to Black Belt.
Collect points by using Padlet
You earn two kinds of points:
- Creativity points for what you make.
- Collaboration points when others engage with your creations.
Points are earned at the following rates:
Creativity points
| Action | Points earned |
|---|---|
| Create a padlet | 1,000 |
| Create a post | 100 |
| Leave a comment | 10 |
Collaboration points
| Action | Points earned |
|---|---|
| Someone remakes your padlet | 200 |
| Someone posts on your padlet | 100 |
| Someone comments on your padlet | 10 |
| Time spent on your sandboxes | 1 point per minute |
Earn a belt by collecting enough points in a year
To qualify for a belt, you must earn enough points in both creativity and collaboration within a calendar year.
- Yellow = 1,000 points per category
- Green = 3,000 points per category
- Blue = 8,000 points per category
- Red = 20,000 points per category
- Black = 60,000 points per category
Keep your belt for one year
When you earn a belt, it stays with you for the rest of that year and all of the following year.
For example, if you earn a Red Belt on June 1, 2026, you’ll keep it through December 31, 2027.
To keep your belt after that, earn enough points again before the next annual reset. If you qualify for a higher belt, your rank will automatically upgrade.

Fair use and integrity
Padlet Belts are meant to recognize genuine creativity and collaboration.
If we detect activity that manipulates the scoring system, we reserve the right to remove or adjust a belt.
Examples of disallowed behavior include (but aren’t limited to):
- Creating multiple accounts to earn points
- Using bots or automated tools to generate activity
- Artificially inflating engagement on your own padlets
We want Padlet Belts to reflect authentic skill and effort. Please play fair.
